Clarion Application Day
The day has finally arrived. Applications are due by April 1, 2007. It’s going to be a hectic. I need to finish edits on both stories, finish filling out the application, and submit.
We’re going out to breakfast with family and then I need to get busy.
I’ve also considered Clarion for awhile now. Procrastinator that I am, I haven’t applied yet. I’m also falling short on the story requirements. My best story is too short. Do you happen to know if the deadline is midnight the 31st or midnight the 1st? Clarion West makes it clear, Clarion does not. Which is how I found your blog, Googling to try to find out!
I’m afraid I’m not sure either. I saw that Clarion West was more specific about it. I’m playing it safe and assuming that it’s 11:59:59 tonight.
Both my stories are slightly under the minimum requirement of 2,500 words but I’m close enough that the editing I’m doing right now will push them over the edge.
If you have two stories that meet the requirement, even if they’re not your best, I would still suggest submitting them.

Thanks. Good luck to you too. I just edited a story I hadn’t looked at since I wrote it and I’m pretty happy with it. But that leaves one more. Plus filling out the application!
